What is a neurofeedback training session and how does it work?
NOT ONE-SIZE-FITS-ALL

Before you begin your neurofeedback training, we will review your history of symptoms, discuss your personal goals for improvement and perform an electroencephalogram (EEG) assessment to identify how your brain currently works.

The information from your EEG (or "brain mapping") tells us what area of your brain is working too slow or too fast. It also gives you the ability to tailor your neurofeedback training sessions to regulate and rebalance your brain with the best possible results.

Your neurofeedback sessions begin by using safe, non-invasive electrodes and conductive paste placed on your scalp and earlobes which monitor and measure your brain activity. Based on your assessment information, you will do brain training with your eyes open watching a video, playing a game, or reading; or with your eyes closed listening to music or sounds through headphones. When your brain finds and hits the desired frequencies within the training, visual and /or audio rewards are fed back to the brain. The brain quickly learns to seek the rewards by producing the preferred frequencies, becoming calmer, more alert and stable. Training sessions are 30-60 minutes long, depending upon what symptoms are being addresses and how quickly you respond to the training.

How long will the improvements from neurofeedback last?
